Monterey Peninsula Airport soil treatment area where contaminated soil from
petroleum tank removal is left
to aerate for a prescribed time. According to Monterey County Health Department
officials Jon Jennings
and John Ramirez, once the prescribed time has elapsed the soil may be used
on site. After obtaining a
permit, the soil may be moved off site but only to an authorized land fill.

Hulsey said she would
provide copies of the permit for soil movement but copies have not been provided.
