Good Questions and Possible Answers
Regarding Boeing 747 Crashes

1. Why does the forward lower lobe cargo door open in flight?

a. It is never closed fully.
b. It was backdriven manually.
c. It was back driven electrically.
d. Fuselage flexing normal or by turbulence allowed door to spring open.
e. Electrical short within door opening system.
f. Loose heavy cargo shifts into door.
g. Internal explosive force against door.
h. Locking pins shearing and releasing door to open.
i. Intentionally/unintentionally opened by crew inflight.
j. Electrical power surge from communication radio antenna or power supply.
k. Frayed electrical wires to door control system shorting on fuselage.
l. Passenger using electronic device triggering door open signal.
m. Combination of the above.
n. I'm sure there's more.

2. Why does nose come off?

a.. High wind airstream enters large gash, blows out other side of nose weakening nose structure which tears away.
b. Effect of door coming openand tearing away buckles floor weakening nose structure with tears away.
c. Door and skin which is torn away strikes horizontal stabilizer or vertical stabilizer which gives additional up or down or left or right force to weakened nose which then tears away.
d. Door and skin tearing away in airstream severs control cables and electrical lines in nose which give severe flight control inputs which puts extreme yaw and pitch forces on nose which tears away.
e. Large gash in side of nose so aerodynamically alters structural balance that nose tears away.
f. Combination of the above.
g. I'm sure there's more.

3. Why does plane crash?

a. Aircraft is aerodynamically designed so that nose is required for center of gravity balance.
b. Control is from nose; without nose there is no control of flight surfaces.
c. Without nose rest of fuselage is open to high wind force which coupled with descent airpseed disintegrates rest of fuselage, wing and tail section.
d. Combination of the above.
e. I'm sure there's more.

4. Why only half second loud sound on cockpit voice recorder and abrupt end to flight data recorders?

a. When nose tears off the power cables behind the nose wheel are severed and only the sound of the door opened and air rushing in is captured while data recorders just end.
b. Power is cut elsewhere.
c. Combination of the above.
d. I'm sure there's more.

5. Why does engine number three have foreign object damage?

a. The right inboard engine number three is closest to the now open baggage compartment which after explosive decompression spews baggage outside fuselage into engine.
b. Powerful jet engine at cruise power sucks in anything within large radius and baggage compartment now open to air after door tears off.
c. Nose tearing off spews debris everywhere which is sucked into engine.
d. Passengers in seats above and aft of cargo door get sucked into engine.
e. Engine running when it hits surface and sucks in water or dirt.
f. Combination of the above.
g. I'm sure there's more.

6. Why do the crashed airplanes take off at night?

a. Door difficult to close in the dark and closed improperly.
b. Time zone changes dictate flights take off at night to land in daylight or whenever gate space is available.

7. Why are the crews talking on the radios when the door comes open?

a. Electrical surge triggers door control sytem to the open position.

8. Why were there two Airworthiness Directives against the forward cargo door?

a. Previously forward cargo doors had inadvertently opened in flight and on the ground.

9. Why did the Pan Am 103 conclusion state bomb was cause of crash?

a. It was believed to be in the best interests of everyone involved...except future passengers.
b. A mild blast occurred in cargo compartment misleading investigators.

10. Why did the Air India 182 conclusion state bomb was cause of crash?

a. It was believed to be in the best interests of everyone involved...except future passengers.
b. India was in midst of political crisis of assassinations and religious occupied temples.
c. Another plane had a bomb go off on same day in Toyko.

11. Why did witnesses say they saw streak of light before TWA 800 came apart?

a. Metal cago door spinning away and reflecting evening sun above East Coast.

12. Why were there radar blip anomalies before the accidents in TWA 800, Pan Am 103, and UAL 811?

a. Metal cargo door reflecting radar energy as it spins away.

13. Why two wreckage trails?

a. Nose comes off separately and forms own trail as it falls and disintegrates. Rest of aircraft then falls and disintegrates forming own trail.

14. Why why?

a. Human nature.
b. Survival instinct.
